Skinny Peach Margaritas

These Skinny Peach Margaritas are refreshing, and sweet cocktails made simply with ripe peaches, peach shnapps, blanco tequila, and P&M Skinny Margarita mixer. Ripe peaches, tequila (on National Tequila Day nonetheless), and fewer calories. What’s not to love?

We have a confession to make. We have mixed feelings about the word SKINNY. Why you ask?

The answer is twofold. On one hand, skinny gets a bad rap. Most skinny margarita mixers you’ll find in your local grocery store have zero to 10 calories, and zero sugar. But have you ever heard the expression “too good to be true”? The reason they’re able to have zero calories, and/or zero sugar, is because they substitute it for junk! Artificial ingredients, chemical sugar substitutes, sugar alcohols, and preservatives. We like to use ingredients you can read (and understand!).

On the other hand, we do have a Skinny Margarita mixer. And it tastes great – some people actually say they prefer it to our Classic Margarita. But because it’s more than 10 calories per serving, and because there is still sugar, we are often questioned about it.

We were determined to create a lower-calorie option margarita mixer, that still kept to our core values. Natural ingredients, great taste, and carefully crafted. We cut the total sugar, and added ingredients like organic agave, lemon juice, and pear juice. These help keep the product sweet, while decreasing the sugar. The result is not a no-calorie, but a lesser-calorie margarita mixer we can be proud of. With 40% less calories, and 40% less sugar per serving than our classic.

So go ahead, grab a few ripe peaches and start mixing! Will your cocktail have calories, yes! Is that a bad thing? We don’t think so. We’ll take a few extra calories over chemicals any day.

Back to the recipe at hand. To prepare the peaches, first decide if you want to peel off the skin (optional). Take out the pit, and cut them into slices for easy blending! Consider keeping a peach slice per cocktail for the garnish. Cheers!
