We’re about 10 days out from the big game, and we can’t even begin to try and guess how much beer is going to be consumed that day! But the thing is… beer doesn’t have to just be beer. There are lots of beertails (beer cocktails) to choose from, and they’re great for switching it up, impressing your friends, and even satisfying some non-beer drinkers!

Here’s Liz from FloatingKitchen.net, sharing with us a Blood Orange & Wheat Beer Sangria recipe! Perfect for the game, the next time you’re entertaining, or maybe just a casual Thirsty Thursday 🙂

Ingredients

2 cups Powell & Mahoney Blood Orange

1/4 cup tequila

1/4 cup orange liqueur

2 thinly sliced blood oranges, divided

6 sprigs fresh thyme, divided

4 (12-ounce) bottles/cans wheat beer

Directions:

In a large pitcher, combine the P&M Blood Orange, tequila and orange liqueur. Add the slices from one of the blood oranges and 4 sprigs of the fresh thyme. Slowly pour in 3 bottles/cans of the wheat beer, stirring gently to combine. Cover the pitcher tightly and refrigerate the sangria for 1 hour.

Add the remaining bottle/can of wheat beer to the pitcher, stirring gently to combine. Then pour the sangria into individual glasses. Garnish with the reserved blood orange slices and thyme sprigs. Serve immediately.
